Aruba’s restaurant staffers pitch in with their support of Cas di Glas The staffers of various restaurants on Aruba have joined the fundraising effort of Cas di Glas by donating part of their tip money. A super gesture, which will hopefully snowball all over the island. The Glass House happening, which takes place from September 29 – October 3rd is going to be a unique event: on one hand delighting the population and its visitors with an on-going series of live performances of great bands and deejays, but on the other hand asking for donations in the effort to purchase a mobile breast cancer screening unit. Three deejays are going to stay in the Cas di Glas for four days, hyping, doing interviews and playing songs; their presence is the pivot around everything will take place. The focus does not lie on the terrible illness itself, but more on health, a healthy lifestyle, nutrition and sports and on taking the stigma of cancer away. The Koningin Wilhelmina Fonds (KWF), the cancer foundation, is the beneficiary of the Cas di Glas event. Read more »

Arion Wine Company jumps into Cas di Glas fundraising activities
The Arion Wine Company is one of the first businesses on Aruba to jump into the Cas di Glas fundraising activities, trying to help raise money to buy a mobile breast cancer screening unit for the island. The wine importer has contacted several of their best retailers and restaurants and have asked them to donate part of the sales of their Arion-imported wines. The great thing is: everyone said yes. Reggae sensation Mulato to perform at Cas di Glas event
Reggae sensation Mulato is coming to perform live on the Cas di Glas stage in front of CILO City Lounge and the Cinemas. The artist, who was just nominated for the `Orgullosamente Latino 2010’ award, will be performing free of charge to help the effort to raise money for the Koningin Wilhelmina Kankerfonds (KWF) on Aruba, the cancer foundation. Cas di Glas event is proud to announce Lincoln Ward live on stage The Cas di Glas organization is very proud to be able to announce that singer Lincoln Ward will be performing live on stage during its four-day fundraising event, held from September 29 – October 3. Mr. Ward is giving his concert free of charge to help raise money for the Koningin Wilhelmina Kankerfonds (KWF), the cancer foundation on Aruba. With enough donations a mobile breast cancer screening unit may be bought. As breast cancer is at an alarmingly high rate on Aruba, the project is getting much support locally as well as internationally. DJ Andé Rouzo from Miami, Florida, is not nicknamed `The future of music’ for nothing. His exceptional talent and energy level have made him a top performer in his field. And he is coming to Aruba to make the Cas di Glas at CILO City Lounge tremble. Rouzo will be on stage on Friday, October 1, making his fans crazy.
